Animania November 2015 Screening

The Michigan November is already in full swing with highs over  80 degrees and dipping below the freezing point. Why not spend your Saturday afternoon in a nice room with fellow anime fans? Our main event will be a swap meet, so come early before all the good stuff is gone!

Date: November 14, 2015
Time: 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Location: North Quadrangle Space 2435 (105 S. State St. Ann Arbor, MI 48109)
University of Michigan, Central Campus, Ann Arbor
There will be signs posted in various locations to aid in locating the screening room.
The State Street side entrance will be the only entrance point open into North Quadrangle.

SCHEDULE:
(Some synopses modified from Anime News Network)

3:30: Swap Meet
Do you ever look at your manga bookshelf and think, “boy, I’m running out of room…” How about that Death Note notebook you just had to get but haven’t touched since your Misa Misa cosplay? Bring all your old “treasures” and swap them with other members of Animania! Think of it like our very own dealer’s room, but feel free to barter and trade. Animania will have a table as well, so you might be able to “negotiate” your way to some raffle prizes…

5:00: Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (Maid Sama!)
Episodes 1-3
Ayuzawa Misaki is the first female student council president at a once all-boys school turned co-ed. She rules the school with an iron fist and close attention to discipline. However, she has a secret—she works at a maid cafe due to her family’s circumstances. One day, the popular A-student and notorious heart breaker Usui Takumi finds out about her secret and strikes a deal with her to keep it hush from the school in exchange for spending some time with him.

6:00: Break + Raffle

6:30: Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) (Movie) (2006)
When 17-year-old Konno Makoto gains the ability to, quite literally, “leap” backwards through time, she immediately sets about improving her grades and preventing personal mishaps. However, she soon realises that changing the past isn’t as simple as it seems, and eventually, will have to rely on her new powers to shape the future of herself and her friends.
